At 11 am PST, 11-5-00, in Northern Nevada a pediatrician was struck silly by the hand of the Holy Spirit. Bystanders did not see a thing, but amazing things took place a Grace Community Church that morning.

Evidently, Dr. Jane Hadley-Smith, founder of C.H.I.L.D.R.E.N ministry, based out of Reno, NV was the assaultee in this case. An interview with the Holy Spirit reveals he had a squabble with Dr. Jane. "Freely I have given to her, but freely she has not given. I am interested in the donation of her life."

After the encounter Dr. Jane had this to say, "it is my deepest passion to equip parents with the great tools the Lord has given to us. We need not accept the chaos and confusion the world gives us for our parenting. But I find many encumbered by the subscription fee. So freely the Lord has given me His wisdom, freely I will give to the Body of Christ. I am truly a fool for Christ. I wanted the body of Christ to first give to me, so that could then give back, but now I see after wrestling with the Holy Spirit that in God's economy you first give and then receive."

Dr. Jane's Comment

Fortunately for you all the above report is not fiction, but reality. I did have an up close and personal experience this weekend. I find myself typing words that I never thought I would write. But it is true. It is more important for you parents to read and receive from the Lord as I have.

So I am now making the newsletter free.

Of course there is a catch, a rub if you like. As much as I want to do this forever free, the reality is I have expenses. Solution? Yes, my only request is if you have been encouraged by, ministered to, positively impacted by the reading of the newsletter that you would consider the suggested donation.

A whopping $5/issue for electronic and $8/issue for printed. This will cover my basic expenses and allow me to carry on.

I realize this amount is too much for some, so don't fret. I rely on the fact that the Holy Spirit will act on enough of your hearts to make this "free-dom" a reality.
